Editions of the WHI like that one, where the focus is quite firmly on the US situation, always set me thinking about our own situation: if Pelagianism appeals peculiarly to an American attitude, what heresy/ies appeal to a British one?

Hi Phil,

I think that Pelagianism is the natural heresy toward which our sinful hearts gravitate. Perhaps culturally it has found particular expression in America, but I don't think that this is an exclusive problem. Maybe the heresy is magnified, maybe it thrives in particular environments.

It is our problem too, on these shores, even if it is a little less magnified.Pelagianism and semi-Pelagianism run right through church history and adapt to new conditions rather well don't you think?
